Beautiful Laila Rose is the newest addition to the DeWitt family and little sister to two year old Tori. As always, shooting this family is a pleasure and Laila was no exception. She slept quietly while we maneuvered her around, allowing us to get some of my best newborn shots ever. I can’t wait to see her again!

Derek, Lorie, their super cute son Dalton and the dog Bacci met me at Sterne Park in Littleton one cloudy morning for some pictures. We walked around and got some great shots, even though 3 year old Dalton was over getting his picture taken pretty quickly. With kids and pets, you get what you get and I am really happy with what I got of Dalton. My new favorite kid model!

Josh & Sara got married on one of those typical Colorado summer days (typical in the sense that you couldn’t have predicted the weather if you wanted to.) It started out sunny and hot, clouds rolled in, clouds rolled out, and then the rain came. Just as the bride was ready to walk down the aisle! Thankfully it was a short, albeit heavy, storm and Josh & Sara had a great sense of humor about it (traditionally, rain on your wedding day is good luck – I think it goes back to old farming/fertility stuff.) The staff at Brookside Gardens (www.brooksidegardens.com) reacted quickly and got everything dried off as best they could and, despite threatening to rain again and a little unruly wind, the wedding went off beautifully. Josh & Sara agreed to see each other before the ceremony, which allowed us to get some great shots of them without interrupting time with their family after the ceremony (if you’re planning your wedding, always consider this option – the pictures are excellent and its a nice, intimate moment to spend together in the middle of a crazy busy day.) This is a super fun couple and we wish them the best. We really enjoyed working with them. Check it out:
We met Kambi & Nathan one early but beautiful morning out at Crescent Park in Lowry. I had never been to that part of Denver so it was a bit of an adventure for me (no complaints, it’s a cool neighborhood!) They brought their gorgeous huskies and we walked around this cute little park and took advantage of how green and fresh everything was. Kambi and Nathan are getting married in August – here’s hoping it will be just as green because her lovely red hair is shown off to perfection with lush grass behind it. Enjoy!
Elena is the beautiful niece of a former colleague of mine (pre-photography days and the job that drove me to finally take taking photos seriously.) Elena is super smiley most days, but the afternoon we took these images she was feeling a little more contemplative, I guess. We still got some great shots, though!
Meet Allie and her baby girl, Amelia. Last May, we photographed Diane (Allie’s mother) and Bill’s wedding and was introduced to this wonderful family. Amelia is the latest addition and one afternoon in April, Allie and I got together to take her first formal portraits. Unlike most babies (who fall fast asleep pretty quickly) Amelia stayed with us until we were almost done, wide-eyed and curious.
Hello all! After a busy first week of the year, we spent the rest of the winter and early spring (traditionally the down time for photography) just relaxing. We got the 2010 season started off right with a number of shoots of children and babies. Here’s my first – funny, talkative and super-friendly 2 year old Tori DeWitt. I’ve been taking pictures of her since before she was born and it is so neat to see what an excellent little girl she’s become.
Tan and Jim started there new life to gather on January 1st. There is no better way to start the new year. It was a beautiful wedding held at the Hyatt Regency in the Denver Tech Center.
Megan & Jose got married on a super sunny Saturday in September (and got lucky because the weather was freezing three days before!) It was a beautiful wedding at Black Bear Golf Club (http://www.blackbeargc.com/), followed by the most enthusiastic dancing I have EVER seen at a wedding. Megan & Jose met at a dance club, so they wanted all their friends and family to get down with them in honor of that – and everyone did! They had a great DJ and even Megan’s grandparents spent the whole night on the dance floor. Also achieved – the most successful conga line ever!
Will and Bri have been together for ages and it shows in how comfortable they are with each other (and therefore in front of the camera – lucky for me!) They have a beautiful daughter, Lacey, who is also a natural. They got married at the Pinehurst Country Club (http://www.pinehurstcountryclub.com/) on a spectacular Saturday. The service there was phenomenal and included a chauffeured golf cart to select spots on the course for pictures. Take a look!
